The Mount Airy Museum of Regional History offers free admission for Family Fun Day events.
As we kick off the summer season at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional history, we are excited to offer three Family Fun Days. Each event features themed activities, educational programming, and entertainment for all ages. During these events, museum admission is free.
Juneteenth Family Fun Day
Sunday, June 21 1-4pm
In association with the NAACP and The National Association of University Women, the June Family Fun Day is set to be an engaging and enriching event that celebrates the significance of Juneteenth. This special occasion will not only focus on the historical importance of this day, which commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, but it will also provide a platform for educational and interactive crafts designed for families and individuals of all ages.
In addition to the crafts, the event will feature a reading of the Declaration of Freedom, which serves as a powerful reminder of the struggles and triumphs associated with the journey toward liberation and civil rights. Furthermore, the event will showcase a choir performance
July Water Family Fun Day
Sunday, July 19 1-4pm
Take a break from the sweltering July heat and join us for an exciting and refreshing experience at our Water Family Fun Day! This delightful event, proudly sponsored by the Mt. Airy Women's League, promises to be a fantastic opportunity for families to come together and enjoy a day filled with laughter, joy, and, most importantly, plenty of water activities designed to help everyone cool off and have a great time.
Back-to-School Family Fun Day
Sunday, August 16 1-4pm
As the summer days begin to wane and the back-to-school season approaches alleviate some of the stress and create lasting memories. We invite you to join us for our exciting August Family Fun Day. This special event is designed to provide a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of the upcoming school year while offering a range of engaging activities for families of all ages.
