Making a Splash Indoors: Water-Themed Family Fun Day Recap

Last Sunday's Water-Themed Family Fun Day brought in 92 attendees! The weather tried its best to stop us, but it didn't stand a chance.
When the forecast forced us to move the festivities inside, our team made the call quickly and got to work transforming the space into a water wonderland. What could have been a damper on the day turned into a cozy, high-energy celebration that families seemed to love just as much as any outdoor event.

What We Were Up To
The activities were a big hit from the moment the doors opened. Kids dove into make-your-own fish crafts using coffee filters, decorating them with color and creativity in every combination imaginable. Little sharks and bubbles made for some seriously adorable takes on ocean life, and the coloring stations kept young artists happily occupied throughout the afternoon. The energy in the room was high, maybe even higher than expected.
"It was so busy it was overwhelming. I am glad I had so many Women's League volunteers to help out."- Karen Nealis, Event Organizer
That's the kind of overwhelming we love to hear about. A huge thank you to Karen and to all of the Women's League volunteers who jumped in and kept everything running smoothly, even when the crowd was at full tide.

A Reminder That the Fun Doesn't Stop for Rain
One of our favorite things about days like this is what they prove: a great event isn't about the weather, it's about the people. Ninety-two neighbors, families, and little artists showed up ready to have fun, and that energy carried the day from start to finish.
We're grateful to everyone who came out and made this one such a success, indoors and all. Keep an eye on our calendar for upcoming Family Fun Days. The next one is just around the corner on August 16th!
