Did you know that someone who worked on the original Apollo spacecrafts for NASA lives right here in Mt. Airy? Pete Taggett will be telling his story about helping to build the communication antenna that would be apart of many of the Apollo rockets! His work helped put men on the moon and even saved lives during the Apollo 13 explosion!
Maker's History presentations are about bringing your curiosity and your lunch with you when you join us! Everyone is welcome to bring something to eat while they listen.
These presentations are also truly made for everyone to enjoy and questions are welcomed throughout the talk! Whether you're an expert or new to the topic completely they always promise to be interesting.
Can't join us in person? No worries! We are partnering with the Hampton Roads branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and offering the presentation live on Zoom - link below.
Those who register on zoom will also be able to engage and ask questions, and will even get a recording of the presentation afterwards.
