Who wouldn't want to drop an egg or two down the Museum's 4-story Clock Tower? Come to the museum at 6pm on Thursday March 14. Bring whatever materials you think you'll need to build a safe delivery package for a raw egg.
We'll talk about velocity and the effects of abrupt deceleration .... and build a package for a raw egg.
Two categories: 1 - Parachute Packages and 2 - Non-Parachute Packages. We'll drop the packages from the first floor landing, check to see who survived, then go to the third floor landing and drop again and see who survived. Then we'll drop from the fourth floor landing and see who survives!
Bring your own package building materials (I suggest doing some research on Egg Drop Experiments ... some suggestions would be recycled bubble wrap, cotton balls, straws, tape, wooden dowels, small boxes or containers, and old shopping bags). We'll provide the raw eggs. The only cost is Museum Admission, $6 a person 5 and older.
