Historian and author Tom Perry will discuss his new book "A Dinky Railroad: The Mount Airy and Eastern Railway," which ran from Mount Airy, North Carolina to Kibler Valley in Patrick County, Virginia from 1899 until the 1920s. The talk will be about the history of the railroad and about Perry's efforts to find the route of the railroad along its 19 mile route. The railroad brought lumber to furniture factories in Mount Airy and took passengers to places such as the White Sulphur Springs resort.
History Talks are held on the 3rd floor of the Museum and are Free to the public.
