Dr. Alex Hastings from the Virginia Museum of Natural History will talk about current field research on dinosaurs. For over 160 million years, dinosaurs were the dominant life form on every continent. In that time, one group in particular reached truly massive size, the long-necked sauropods. Joint excavations with the Virginia Museum of Natural History and Lynchburg College have resulted in new discoveries of these ancient giants which will lead to new insight into how these animals lived and interacted with their environments.

History Talks are held at 2pm on the 3rd floor of the museum and are Free to the public.
