SPECIAL KICK-OFF HOURS: The Mount Airy of Regional History will open today from 2:00pm until 8:00pm.
New Harmonies: Celebrating American Roots Music
Kick Off for this exhibition begins at 2:00pm with special speakers, presentations and a ribbon/banjo string cutting.
Music will be provided by Back-Step.
A public reception will be held from 2:00 - 4:00pm.
The museum will close at 8:00pm.
New Harmonies: Celebrating American Roots Music is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and the North Carolina Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
